Jakarta: Indonesian racing driver Sean Gelael is prepared to welcome the upcoming season with Prema Racing team. The 21 year old racing driver is committed to get the better result through hard work, teamwork as well as the effectiveness of Prema Racing team.

"From the trial in Abu Dhabi with the old car, I can see they have more effective work mechanism, quicker problem-solving process and skilled crew. As the result, I can focus on my jobs. It makes me feel more confident,” Sean said.

Nevertheless, Sean will be dealing with harder challenges such as different regulations and new cars. Sean has been asked by his team to maintain his body weight.

In addition, Prema Racing boss Rene Rosin has acknowledged the upcoming season will provide harder challenges. He strongly believes Prema’s experience, competency and togetherness can overcome these challenges.

According to Rene, Sean is a talented racing driver with a huge dedication.

"I don’t want Sean to bear any burden. I hope the team can get a lot of victories this season. I believe Sean’s capability will significantly improve this season,” he added.

The team has not received the new Formula  2 car for the 2018 season. Each team will get one new Formula 2 car this week.

“If we have received our car, we will immediately study the car. We will prepare for the first official test at Magny Cours in February.  We will join the second official test at Le Castelet,” he explained.

The new Formula 2 car will be equipped with a Halo cockpit for more safety. It will be at least 20 kg heavier than the previous car.
