Mexico City: Indonesian racing driver Sean Gelael will join Scuderia Toro Rosso during the Free Practice 1 session at the Formula 1 grand prix at in Mexico City, Mexio on October 27, 2017.
Sean has studied the Autodromo Hermanos rodriguez circuit with the Toro Rosso team. He has taken simulator test at the Toro Rosso head office.
“Although it is only a free practice session, the pressure is still big. I must complete the program well. Moreover, I never try the circuit before. So, I must be relax. This trick was helpful in the previous FP1 Session in Austin last week,” Sean said.
Sean will join his fourth FP1 session in Mexico. He previously joined three FP1 sessions in Singapore, Malaysia and the United States.
“Sean performed well in each FP1 session. He completed the program positively. I Hopefully, he can repeat the performance in Mexico. Moreover, he can reduce the gap with his team mate,” Toro Rosso Team Principal Franz Tost said.
The 4.3 kilometer circuit is considered as the highest F1 circuit in terms of altitude. It is located around 2,200 meters above the surface.
The host will be represented by Force India driver Sergio Perez. Mexican driver Pedro Rodriguez was ranked 4th in the 1968 Mexico Grand Prix.
