Jakarta: Formula 2 will start a new season in early April. Indonesian F2 driver Sean Gelael introduced his new helmet on Wednesday.
Sean’s new helmet is dominated by red and white colors. The design is meant to represent patriotic symbols. In 2018, a lot of Indonesian athletes will compete in a number of competitions which are held either inside the country or abroad.
Indonesia will host Asian Games in the middle of the year. It will also stage U-19 AFC Cup, U-19 AFF Cup, U-15 AFF Cup, AFF Futsal Championsip and AFF Women Championship this year.
Indonesian badminton players will join various international tournaments throughout the year. They will participate in Thomas-Uber Cups this year.
“This year is a sport year for Indonesia. I and other athletes will work hard for Indonesia. We will support each other. All of us have the same goal,” Sean said.
You can see a patriotic slogan in the new helmet. “Helmet for INA untukMU Indonesia Tanah Airku”.
Sean’s new helmet is inspired by sport shoes. The design is based on Nike Air Jordan 1 off-white shoes.
“I really love the shoes. It has red and white colors. It is in line with my Indonesian identities,” Sean said.
