Jakarta April 26, 2017 - Pertamina Arden driver Sean Gelael and Pertamina Arden team principal Gaetan Jego were present at the From Circuit to Campus event at University of Indonesia (UI) in Depok, West Java on Wednesday, Aprl 26, 2017.
The event was initiated by Pertamina Arden With Jagonya Ayam KFC Indonesia and University of Indonesia.
Formula 2 is potential racing competition. It blends science, sport and technology. The driver is the most important aspect. UI is proud with Sean, Unversity of Indonesia dean Muhammad Anis said.
Sean and Jego explained about Formula 1 and Formula 2 technologies such as aerodynamic system, drag reduction system (DRS), G-force, Downforce and tire management to around 1,000 students.
The event was also promoted in twitter. The hasthag #BanggaIndonesia was at the first position of the trending topic list during the event.
We are very lucky. We are from engineering faculty. We can learn a lot from this event, one participant said.
Sean was very motivated during the event. He shared a lot of experiences. He also explained various lessons.
We can share experiences and lessons. Thankfully, we can hold the event at the University of Indonesia. Hopefully, the event will benefit students, Sean said.
I love Indonesians here. I explained about Formula 2 car components. I received very positive responses, Jego said.
The event could introduce the racing world to the Indonesian public. It also could attract Indonesian talents to racing industry jobs.
Sean is ready for the second round of the 2017 Formula 2 season in Barcelona, Spain on May 12-14, 2017. He is also ready for the second Formula 1 in-season test in Hungary in July.
